091027This weekend me and Skatteg Argentina participated in our first competition together: Hallandsritten 80km. Since she´s only six years old and this was her first 80km-ride our goal was to complete the race in a slow pace. Argentina behaved as a star and both ate and drank well during the entire ride. In spite the fact that we had to ride alone most of the time she kept her pace and finished the race happy and with plenty of more to give. Our riding time was 07.06.21h (11,3km/h). This ride means that Argentina now only has to do one more 80km-ride to be novis-qualifide which looks very good for the coming season.

New horse in the stable! I´ve been looking for a new horse for almost a year and now my new star is finally standing in the stable. =)
Her name is Skatteg Argentina and has a pedigree which is giving at least me goosebumps... by: Da Capo ex: Kamianna (Milagro). This makes her the sister of Kristall who won the Swedish Championships in endurance this year and who is part of the Swedish National team, and she has the same father as Liza Sundbergs young horse Stengärdes Milos. And as bonus is my sisters endurancehorse Murchids (2634 km on rides up to 160km) father Rashid Argentinas grandfathers father.Argentina is born 2003 and has during the year done e few rides over 50km together with her previous owner and shows great potential. She caught my attention already in february and I can hardly believe that she´s finally is here at home with me. I´m thrilled to say the least.

Tomorrow is the European Championships in endurance held in Asissi, Italien. And both Wissas brother Wisdoms Touch and Argentinas brother Kristall are there to compete. Touch is part of the Danish National Team and Kristall will be competing for Sweden. I´m keeping my fingers crossed for them and the rest of the Swedish team!

It has happened quite a lot during the summer. I went to Belgium for a couple of weeks to visit European Training Center. I met a lot of interesting people and was also very happy to have the opportunity to ride celebrities such as World Champion filly Johara Al Naif och EE Supreme Champion mare Ramses Minx. There was also time to see the Egyptian Event Europe and to visit Flaxman Arabians to have a look at their spanish arabians. Lots of beautiful horses in other words! Pictures can be seen in my photogallery.
At ETCThe Stallion Adawy that Wissa has been bred was shown at a couple of shows with great results. At the Scandinavian Open Championships at Blommeröd he was awarded Senior male Silver Champion. He was second in his class with the same points (90.67) as the winner Azraff El Karmdal. Azraff is actually by the fullbrother of Wissa, Wisdoms Promise. At the Swedish Nationals Adawy was 4:th in his class with 40,33 points. Winner of the class was Rohara Baccara, the sire of the last foal from Wissa, Ismee Allegria. He had the very high score of 43,33points and was later also unanimous Senior male Gold Champion.
AdawyAdawy was on lease to Sweden by Oppreva Arabians but next season he will be standing at stud in France by Kenelm Arabians.

Mulsanne is sold to Mette Normand - Al Hawa Arabians, Norge. It´s been a very difficult descision to sell her and I know that it will be a very sad day when she leaves. But after having met Mette and seen how well she and Molly gets along it somehow feels "right". And I´m sure Molly will be very happy in her new home, with lots of new horsefriends, going for some pleasurerides and having all those beautiful foals I know she will have.
A big congratulations to you Mette for buying this wonderful mare! I know you will take the very best care of her!
But before Molly becomes a norwegian she will be going to Oppreva Araber to be bred to Adawy.

Linn Gustavsson - El PepasT his weekend the Vedemaride took place. I didn´t participate but couldn´t stop myself from driving there to watch. A lot of horses were there to compete and many riders from Växjö Distansryttare were to qualify according to the new international rules. It went very well for most of them with some very good results. To name a few was Martina Vikefors riding the horse Grande 2:nd in the 50km-class, and Lena Sandberg-Nilsson and Linda Johansson acchieved one place each on the podium in the 80km CEI* riding the horses La Rhubarbe och Wierusz. Wissa has been bred to Adawy so now we´ll keep our fingers crossed that she´s in foal! We brought her home last weekend when Oppreva Arabians had their Open House. Helen came with me and exhibited some of her beautiful paintings and of course recieved lots of compliments for them! Of course she also brought her camera and you can find her photos in my gallery.

Last weekend me and my friend Helen went to visit Oppreva Arabians. I wanted to have a closer look at their stallion Adawy (Borneo ex: Ashiqa (Crusader)) that they have on lease from Emma Maxwell and whom I´m planning to breed Wissa to. He was just as beautiful as I had imagined and actually very much alike Mulsanne. I think he and Wissa will be a great match so if all goes according to plans I will bring Wissa to them for breeding in the beginning of April. Besides a very nice horsechat and good coffee we also got to see their incredibly pretty foals by El Amin. Helen had her camera ready :) and here are some of the photos she took:
